Pop star and businesswoman Rihanna is giving her fans hope for some new music ! Indeed, the singer hinted on her Instagram account that new music could be coming soon.
It all started when Rihanna celebrated her album Anti by sharing a video montage on her Instagram account with some of the music videos from the project. She was celebrating the fact that her eighth album Anti has now spent five years on the Billboard 200 album chart, making her the first black artist to do so.
She added to her post the description, “grateful to the most High for putting die hard supporters in my circle 🙏🏿 #Anti#WomensHistoryMonth 💪🏿congrats to everyone that contributed to this era, thank you team”.
The singer’s fans congratulated her on the record, but one particular comment did not go unnoticed. One fan asked her to “celebrate by releasing a song!”, to which Rihanna replied, “I think I should” and adding a soon emoji and then “Just 1 tho lol”.
This comment from Rihanna gives a lot of hope to her fans who have been waiting for almost five years for Rihanna to release a new album, following her last album Anti, which was released in 2016. This is not the first time that the singer has taken a break between albums, as before releasing Anti, she had already taken a 4-year break.
During her breaks without an album, Rihanna took the opportunity to launch her numerous brands such as Fenty Beauty and Skin, and her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty.
Speaking about her next record, Rihanna told Etonline back in July, “I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out. And you’re not going to be disappointed when it happens. It’s going to be worth it.”
What’s for sure is that Rihanna doesn’t want to disappoint her fans when she decides to release another song or album, but fans can continue to hold out hope that the singer will release a song soon.
