‘Rocks’ Star Bukky Bakray Joins BBC And Netflix Drama ‘You Don’t Know Me’ | TV News

Even though the film industry is having a bad time because of the pandemic, some actresses and actors are having their career rise and getting stronger, and that is the case for the Rocks star Bukky Bakray. After winning awards and acclaim for her performance, she is coming back to our screens for her next big role.

The young actress is to be featured in the upcoming drama titled You Don’t Know Me, produced by Netflix and BBC One, so she is really getting to work with the ‘big’ ones. The series will be in four parts.

The story of the limited series is based on the Imran Mahmood bestselling novel, about a young man named Hero, played by Samuel Adewunmi, who is accused of murder with some evidence that puts him straight away as guilty.

To defend himself, he tells his side of the story about how he was doing everything to save the love of his life named Kyra, played by Sophie Wilde. Meanwhile, Bukky plays his young sister, Bess, who does everything in her power to prove her brother’s innocence.

The rest of the cast include Roger Jean Nsengiyumva, Tuwaine Barrett, Yetunde Oduwole , and Nicholas Khan. We believe that the premise will be good, because Tom Edge (The Crown, Judy) will be the principal writer.

The film is produced by Snowed-In-Production and Netflix and it has already started filming in Birmingham. It is being directed by Sarmad Masud from Bulletproof.

The series should air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK, with Netflix having global rights outside the UK, Ireland, and China. We don’t have any official release dates or even trailers of the movie, so we will have to wait and see what the two big production companies come up with.
