The first episode just premiered on ABC but they have already announced the renewal of the Roseanne revival for the second season. In total, that makes it the 11th season for the show that aired the first time in 1988.
Channing Dungey, ABC Entertainment president, said in a statement:”We’re thrilled that America has welcomed the Conner family back into their homes.” He also stated that the show “is as relevant and fresh today as it was when it left the air 21 years ago.”
There is just one thing that could have prevented the revival and the second season: The cast. Fortunately, they already said that they will be on board for another bunch of episodes. For now, it isn’t sure how many episodes we will get in the second season but word is that it will range between 10 and 13 episodes.
At the moment the first season is on the air in America on ABC. It has nine episodes and stars Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson, Michael Fishman, Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara, Jayden Rey, and Sarah Chalke.
