Royal Opera House is coming back for this summer with another incredible programme of BP Big Screens in 16 location across UK. In less than a month, everyone can enjoy free culture on their doorstep when the Royal Opera House projects Romeo and Juliet by The Royal Ballet.
If you are in the capital, bring a picnic and your friends and family to Trafalgar Square, IQL Summer Lawn in Stratford, Television Centre White City, The Scoop at London Bridge City or the Arena Square in Wembley Park as Tuesday 11 June 2019, you can watch the first screening in Royal Opera House 2019 BP Big Screens series.
So, Shakespeare lovers don’t miss the opportunity to see the 20th-century ballet masterpiece of Romeo And Juliet directed by Kenneth MacMillan, who movingly depicts the love and heart-break endured by literature’s most renowned couple.
Royal Ballet Principal dancers Matthew Ball and Yasmine Naghdi star as the young lovers Romeo and Juliet, with Ore Oduba, Darcey Bussell and Royal Ballet Principal Character Artist Kristen McNally, confirmed as the screening’s presenters.
This won’t be the only BP Big Screen projection this summer, in July, Royal Opera House will be back with two other plays, Carmen on July 2 and The Marriage of Figaro on July 9, giving audiences the chance to enjoy free culture at 24 sites across the UK, from Aberdeen to the Isle of Wight.
