Chitose Abe, creative director of Sacai, and Tomo Koizumi are teaming up for a brand new summer accessories Capsule Collection.
Tomo Koizumi is the designer of his own eponymous brand based in Tokyo, he received the LVMH Prize last tyear, and was also nominated for the HYPEAWARDS for the Best Emerging Womenswear Brand. The signature of Koizumi is ruffles accessories, which are often really colorful.
The Japanese creator has also dressed famous artists like Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus for New York Fashion Week, and also worked with the likes of Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski. His creations have also appeared several times for the covers of Vogue, V and WWD.
This first collaboration between Sacai And Tomo Koizumi is definitely showcasing this style and signature. Koizumi’s ruffles that are made from Japanese polyester and organza are combined with Chitose Abe practical and functional clothing.
The two designers are proposing a shoulder bag, a cross-body bag, and leg warmers that are coming with two gradients of colors, pale yellow/orange/faded brown and deep blue/green/pale turquoise, and finally a more classic black one.
This pieces give a touch of originality to any outfit while keeping it classy and trendy. You will be able to find the sacai x TOMO KOIZUMI capsule collection from June 4 on sacai’s official webstore, as well as selected Sacai and Dover Street Market outlets in the US, UK, Hong Kong, China and Singapore.
