Savannah Singer-Songwriter Jonah Kagen Releases New Single ’18’

Savannah artist Jonah Kagen recently released his latest song, “18“, under Arista Records. The track blends Jonah’s signature acoustic-driven sound with heartfelt lyrics, reflecting on the challenges of first love.

Speaking about the track, Jonah explains, “’18’ is a song I never thought anyone in the world except myself would ever hear. It’s about falling in love as a kid and how that same love can shift from absolutely everything to nothing in just a few minutes. I wrote this song from the deepest part of my being, and I hope you find your own story somewhere in the lyrics.”

Raised in Savannah, Georgia, the 23-year-old singer and songwriter started playing guitar at the age of six. He was inspired by performance recordings of his jazz musician grandfather and the technical prowess of guitarist Andy McKee, known for his finger-style playing.

When Jonah was in college, his sister encouraged him to share his music on social media, and his debut song, “Broken“, quickly became a TikTok sensation.

“18” follows Jonah’s debut EP, Georgia Got Colder, released on Arista Records in December 2022. Already boasting over 130 million global streams, a US tour supporting Maisie Peters, nearly 2 million Spotify monthly listeners, and a spot on Shazam’s 2023 predictions list, Jonah Kagen is undoubtedly a rising artist who brings a unique energy and sincerity to his diverse style.
