Hollywood starlet Scarlett Johansson has been cast as socialite and novelist Zelda Fitzgerald in an upcoming American drama film The Beautiful And The Damned.
Johansson will star in a script penned by Hanna Weg. Zelda Fitzgerald, dubbed America’s first ‘flapper’ by her husband The Great Gatsby writer F. Scott Fitzgerald. It is his novel, The Beautiful And The Damned, that took inspiration from his marriage, while her autobiographical novel, Save Me The Waltz also contains an account of their marriage.
Johansson is currently providing her voice in the live action Jungle Book, and can be seen later this year reprising her role as Black Widow in Captain America: Civil War.
