Rasmus Littauer, aka School of X, has unveiled a new single taken from his upcoming EP called Destiny. “Write My Name” showcases the artist’s instrumental and vocal skills and lyrically expresses the feeling of acceptance and the will to move on.
School of X is the musical project of Copenhagen native Rasmus Littauer. The multi-instrumentalist and signer used to play drums with Danish hitmaker MØ and now he’s creating his own music. His latest offering titled “Write My Name” is the last but one single taken from Littauer’s forthcoming EP, Destiny.
The new tune, which follows the title track dropped last month, may serve as the conclusion of the entire record, as it expresses the acceptance of the choices made earlier on the album. Personal and instrumentally remarkable, the EP is set for release on November 15 via Tambourhinoceros.
Describing the message behind his most recent tune, Littauer said, “’Write My Name’ is about being abandoned and over time realizing and accepting why you have to move on.
The song has been almost impossible for me to finish, but it landed in a good place in the end. The musical turning point was the collaboration with Rune Risager, who played the guitars on the recording. He brought a freshness that I couldn’t find myself”.
