Sean Harris In Negotiations To Play ‘Mission Impossible 5’ Villain Film News

Some may recognize Sean Harris from British indie films such as 24 Hour Party People and Brighton Rock. You may even recognize him from when he made his Hollywood debut in Ridley Scott’s 2012 film Prometheus. Harris has remained fairly unknown in the States, until now.

Previously reported by Deadline, Paramount Pictures has offered the British actor the role of the villain in Mission Impossible 5 which will be directed by Christopher McQuarrie. It is said that negotiations are currently underway and even though Harris’ role is yet to be set in stone, I believe there is no doubt he holds the ability to give an unforgettable performance.

Anyone who has seen the British horror film Creep will undoubtedly remember his disturbing character portrayal of ‘Craig the creep’ whose menacing screams and flaying of body parts, changed everyone’s perception of the London Underground. He also starred in Harry Brown as a drug induced rapist that produced a phenomenological affect, forcing the viewer to shake off his haunting mannerisms.

These two examples alone are enough to convince any audience he is more than capable of playing the bad guy. In Mission Impossible 5, Harris would be starring along side Tom Cruise who will once again reprise his role as Ethan Hunt. The film will also star Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Alec Baldwin, and is set for release in the UK on the 26th of December 2015.
