On the back of releasing two projects in the last three years, first with Genesis in 2019 and then with Evolve in 2020, Seattle singer, songwriter and musician Zoser has released a new single titled “It Is What It Is” as the first preview of his upcoming third project arriving later this year.
“It Is What It Is” comes as part of a double A-side single release alongside another track titled “Ain’t Basic”, with both songs recorded late last year at Studio Litho in Seattle. He launches the single with a release-day party and global livestream from Metropolist at the start of the month.
Known for his genre-bending skills that have no boundaries and influences that range from Ed Sheeran to Childish Gambino, Zoser leads with his soulful voice, thoughtful lyrics, and his accompanying guitar to create a sound that shifts between pop, hip-hop, R&B and folk music. His writing is as personal as his music is idiosyncratic.
As well as his independent music career, Zoser is also the co-chair of the Totem Star Leadership Collective, a non-profit music and mentorship program for underserved youths.
He began his journey into music by learning to play guitar when he was 10-years old, and at the age of 12, he was already writing his own music and performing locally in his hometown in Georgia. The rest, as they say, is history.
