Global Citizen has announced a livestream concert to inspire people all over the world to get the COVID-19 vaccine!
Entitled Vax Live: The Concert To Reunite The World, the show is made to encourage philanthropists and corporations to donate money in efforts to vaccinate 27 million healthcare workers, the heroes who are serving on the frontlines of the pandemic fight throughout the whole year.
Moreover, Vax Live is aiming to inspire citizens from all over the world to encourage their governments to channel $22.1 billion in total, the balance needed to distribute 2 billion doses of vaccine and other necessary medical tools to the world’s poorest countries by the end of this year.
Selena Gomez is confirmed to host the upcoming Vax Live event. As for other celebrities, Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin and H.E.R. are set to feature in the musical performances.
Selena has recently shared her excitement on her upcoming experience: “I’m honored to be hosting ‘Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World.

The Vax Live show will be pre-recorded at Los Angles SoFi Stadium and will air on US TV channel ABC as well as on Global Citizen YouTube channel on May 8!
