Jeiris Cook shifted from a traditional work life as a warehouse manager and mattress salesman to full-fledged musicianhood at 36, just a year after teaching himself to play guitar. His motivation to shift gears came from a desire for a more expressive and fulfilling life, inspired in part by a camping trip with his son.
Seven years into his musical journey, Cook has performed in various venues, from restaurants and private events to showcases across the New York Metro area, sharing his evolving musical brand with a growing audience.
The debut album Patchwork presents a candid look at Cook’s life, intertwining his tales and teachings through ten songs, each one a unique story yet collectively offering a mosaic of his experiences, insights, and emotions.
Apart from producing music, Cook extends his love for melodies into voluntary service with Musicians On Call. This organization endeavors to harness the therapeutic power of music, bringing solace and healing to patients in healthcare facilities nationwide.
