With the success of films like The Martian, Gravity, Interstellar, Star Trek and Star Wars it’s no surprise that Hollywood interest in space has exploded in the last few years, only making it a matter of time before the comedy genre got involved.
Comedians Bill Hader, Seth Rogen, and Zach Galifiankis are set to star in The Something, a space-set comedy based around astronauts trapped in space for decades finally discovering another spaceship.
The film has been written by 22 Jump Street co-writer Rodney Rothman, produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The feature will also see Rodney Rothman make his directorial debut, intriguing as he has proven his writing chops, but questionable if he can endure the space walk to director.
