Coming on the back of the strong success of his last single “Kaio-Ken”, which was championed by the likes of BBC Introducing, Clash Magazine, Red Bull UK, Link Up TV, and Fab UK Magazine, among others, while landing in the Spotify UK Viral Chart, independent UK rapper ShaoDow returns with his brand new single titled “Like You”, which features Grime veteran Manga Saint Hilare, and is the first taste of his upcoming fourth studio album, which is due for release later this year.
Debuting straight into Spotify’s revered ‘Grime Shutdown’ playlist, ShaoDow’s “Like You” was produced by Tomek Zylkiewicz, who has previously worked with the likes of Zeph Ellis (Dot Rotten), Genesis Elijah and Mogwli, and sees ShaoDow and Manga Saint Hilare trading hard hitting lyrics over the ominous bass and guitar-led musical landscape, as both emcees rally against the lack of originality in the scene, while standing up for ingenuity and artistic integrity.
With three projects already under his belt and a fourth on its way, over 25,000 albums sold, and an AIM (Association Of Independent Music) Award for ‘Hardest Working Artist’ in 2017, ShaoDow comes with a solidified UK rap and Grime pedigree, which has seen him feature on Charlie Sloth’s coveted ‘Fire In The Booth’ on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 1Xtra, and counting the likes of PRS For Music, Spotify, KISS FM, Clash Magazine, and GRM Daily, as fans, along the way, in his decade long career blazing the independent path.
