We all know how the story goes, and you will soon be able to buy your own Cinderella shoes. Nine international shoe designers have created their own take on the iconic glass slippers from Disney’s Cinderella to celebrate the release of the new live-action version of the fairytale, which is in cinemas from March 27 in the UK.
Nicholas Kirkwood, Jimmy Choo, Charlotte Olympia, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jerome Rousseau, Stuart Weitzman, Alexandre Birman, Rene Caovilla and newcomer Paul Andrew have all debuted their unique designs, which you can view below.
Sandra Choi, the Creative Director of Jimmy Choo, said: “I think every girl desires a Cinderella moment in their lives. This story ignites a love affair and fascination with shoes that never dies. The power they have to transform is instilled from a young age and the fantasy remains alive forever. I wanted to create a shoe that felt magical, with alluring sparkle and a feminine, timeless silhouette evoking those childhood emotions”. You can order your very own ‘glass’ slippers exclusively from Harrods, expected to be revealed in their glory on 13 February.
