Sigourney Weaver To Play New Character In ‘Avatar’ Sequels | Film News
Oscar Award-nominated actor Sigourney Weaver will play a new character in the upcoming Avatar movies. Director James Cameron revealed she would return as a new character and not the scientist she previously played, and there have been some media reports saying she would return in a more interesting form. Cameron and Sigourney have been working on films together since 1985 when the horror film Alien came out. The director did not give any hints away about the new character, however Cameron said, “she’s playing a different and in many ways more challenging character in the upcoming films”. The first Avatar sequel will be released in cinemas during December 2016.
