Singer, Songwriter And Musician Devon Gilfillian Shares His New Single ‘Right Kind of Crazy‘

Devon Gilfillian, the soul musician hailing from Philadelphia and now based in Nashville, has released a new single titled “Right Kind Of Crazy

Gilfillian is also set to release his second full-length album, Love You Anyway, on April 7 via Fantasy Records. Combining elements of soul, hip-hop, R&B, and rock, the album is a genre-defying and seductive work of black joy.

As a child, Gilfillian was influenced by both the groundbreaking artists of his generation, such as Wu-Tang Clan, Notorious B.I.G., and Jay-Z, as well as the icons of his father’s era, including Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, and The Temptations.

Gilfillian received praise from publications such as NPR, The New York Times, PASTE, and The Tennessean for his 2020 debut album, Black Hole Rainbow. Later that year, he re-recorded and released a cover of Marvin Gaye’s legendary album What’s Going On, raising funds for underprivileged communities of color and promoting information about the democratic process.

Gilfillian’s new single, “Right Kind Of Crazy,” is a soothing, rhythmic melody that captures the beauty and messiness of love.
