Sir Tom Jones Concert Cut Short Following Power Failure | Music News

Sir Tom Jones‘ concert at Alnwick Castle had to be cut short after the power failed three times during his performance. Fans were left disappointed, with one fan saying that the lights went out just as Sir Tom Jones was singing the line “turn on the light” from his hit “Leave Your Hat On”. Sir Tom Jones performed for 50 minutes in total which left fans feeling angry after they paid between £45 and £100 for tickets, which prompted some fans to ask for full refunds.

Director of Loose Cannon Events, Neil Winterbottom addressed the issue, saying, “Unfortunately, during Sir Tom Jones’s performance at Alnwick Castle, there was an issue with the generator power supply which meant that the concert finished abruptly. I wish to make it clear that this situation is not associated with the artist, his management team or Alnwick Castle“.

Winterbottom continued, adding that, “Loose Cannon Events employed an established company to supply the power generators who are well-versed in supplying power to large events of this scale and we are investigating the incident. We are sorry to disappoint concert-goers. All enquiries should be directed to [email protected]“.
