It’s official, Snoop Dogg has announced that he is in the making an anthology series based on his whole life, bringing it back to the old days when his parents met, going through his childhood all the way to his career path. It should be really interesting to learn about his life from his point of view and see all the things he went though to get to the place he is at now, I would definitely watch.
In an interview to Yahoo Entertainment, he says, “Definitely my childhood in the ‘70s, seeing how people loved each other…the ‘80s era, that’s when the cocaine, drugs, violence, my teenage years and all of the things that were brought to our community by the government and the C.I.A… They just dropped off guns and drugs and gave us a path to destruction. And then they locked us all up”.
The series will take some time to be completed but Snoop Dogg is in no rush because it’s an extensive project that has to be well thought of, in order to mention everything relevant to his path, such as family, friends, community influences and inspirations. It’s an anthology because it should take multiple seasons to explain it all.
In other news, the artist just released a new album and participated on The Voice, however it’s still not enough for the icon Snoop Dogg as he is also making a new blues album, a jazz project and a ’70s R&B album that will feature Mary J. Blige, Anderson .Paak, Raphael Saadiq, Stokely Williams of Mint Condition and others.
