Brazilian DJ and producer SonikCuts has linked up with veteran Brooklyn rapper Skyzoo for his new single titled “Grinding“, which is the third offering from his forthcoming album Power Moves. The track was mixed in Paris and mastered in Los Angeles, to make for an excellent outcome.
SonikCuts is the founder of Bunker Sounds and is well known for his vinyl-released projects such as the GuaranaBreaks record series and the A DJ Is Not A Jukebox vinyl. The Paris-based DJ and producer has also worked with the likes of Guilty Simpson, Muneshine, and Termanology, among others, with support from the likes of RapReUp and Word Is Bond Magazine.
On the other hands, Skyzoo is most popularly known for his multiple cult classic albums, and his collaborations with the likes of Talib Kweli, Jill Scott, Apollo Brown, and Pete Rock, the latest with whom he released his latest project Retropolitan with.
There’s no word yet on when the new SonikCuts album Power Moves will be released but Bunker Sounds is also releasing music from other artists on SonikCut’s label including Mister Bibal, Atzib, Myth Syzer, DaBigLoubensky, JimmyWhoo, L Rey, Vimanas, and Jay Kendrick.
