California based singer and songwriter GAL has released her debut single “Door You Slammed”. The song deals with post breakup revenge and comes with a sassy latin pop tension.
GAL is a 25-year old artist who was born and raised in Southern California. She started writing music during college and lived in India for a year and gave english lessons. After this experience she spent the past year living in Paris where she performed in bars and on the street.
Now the young artist wants to release several new songs. “I have about 50 unrecorded songs that I’ve just been sitting on, so I can’t tell you how good it feels to start releasing stuff as Gal”, she explains.
Her debut single “Door You Slammed” is a typical breakup song, addressed to someone who broke your heart. “In middle school my favorite song was Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” and this song carries a similar attitude of being newly independent and completely over an ex” Gal points out.
The song offers great sensual vocals and guitar riffs which feel very Spanish and playful. The instrumentation is on-point and played by producer David Francisco. Gal is playing the keys on herself that come through intensive during the middle of the song. Listen to “Door You Slammed” below.
