Steve Aoki’s album Neon Future I (followed a year later by Neon Future II) came out in 2014, featuring the song “Back To Earth” with Fall Out Boy. The music video, however, just premiered yesterday (August 18). The video looks like a short sci-fi film following someone in a flowing white ensemble running from people with laser guns. The two artists are featured playing several times in cut-scenes, but the main focus is on the chase.
Aoki told Billboard that “it was an absolute honour working with my close friends Fall Out Boy on this song and video. This was such an action packed video and an integral piece to Neon Future”. This isn’t the first time that Aoki has collaborated with rock artists, he’s made music with Travis Barker of Blink-182 fame, Rivers Cuomo from Weezer, and twice with Linkin Park.
