Hotly tipped eclectic London band Storms have returned by announcing their brand new track “Swell”, accompanied by an extremely artistic new music video, as well as two London gigs. The band established themselves a reputation after a rather busy 2013 performing some very exciting events all around London, which rapidly recruited a large following through strong word of mouth!
That leads me on to describe their new music video for “Swell” which features a very creative and artistically crafted cut out singing mouth in the centre of the screen, whilst an array of images and clips are screened in the background including pictures of cartoons, wildlife, Anime, Baywatch, Pulp Fiction, Pop Art and many many more. All these images are beautifully put together with a variety of effects and animations that all combined to create a stunning 4 minutes and 22 seconds of unique and captivating art and music. The band themselves directed, produced and edited the entire music video.
The band have recorded three new songs in their return to the studio, and their plan is to stream each of the three songs a few months after each other over the remaining months of 2014. And as Storms prepare their next single release, they have announced two live shows in London on July 9 at Sebright Arms and August 7 at The Old Queens Head. The new video for “Swell” can be viewed below.
