The American multi-instrumentalist artist and singer Sufjan Stevens will finally unveil his upcoming mixtape tomorrow The Greatest Gift which is a mix of outtakes, remixes and demos from his 2015 album Carrie & Lowell in which the Detroit artist talks about the complex relationship with his mother.
As we already know, Sufjan has already delivered 4 of his 12 tracks, “Wallowa Lake Monster“, “The Hidden River of My Life“, “City of Roses” and “The Greatest Gift“, but today (November 23) he has just dropped off a brand new music video for the track “The Greatest Gift” via Asthmatic Kitty Records.
Directed and animated by Sufjan Stevens, this simple clip features illustrations of religious figures and photos of different kind of people interspersed by sentences such as “Have anyone seen God? Love one an other as i have loved you“, “It is pleasant for the eyes to see the sun” or “Give generously to all without finding fault with one accord“.
