Sugababes are back and have officially announced the 20th anniversary edition of their debut album One Touch, along with a collaboration with MNEK on a new remix of “Run For Cover”. Last week they teased the public with a link to their One Touch anniversary website, together with a logo and the number 2O to symbolize the time as a band.
Sugababes are a veteran British girlband, composed of founding members Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy, and their One Touch anniversary offering arrives on October 1. This latest tune from the project is very different from the current trending scene, it’s what seems to be a mix of vocals with electronic beats, with an added verse from MNEK.
Their genre is not what I usually listen to, however I did enjoy the experienced and energetic vocals that they clearly master, the new remix has a different proposal that blends the year of 2000 with 2021.
Their One Touch 20th anniversary project will feature remakes of tracks from the original album, including remixes by Blood Orange, Metronomy, Ed Case and more. The trio also shared that the anniversary album will also include a Japanese bonus song titled “Don’t Wanna Wait” and many other bonus tracks and demos.
