Netflix have just announced the release date for the highly awaited season 2 of French series Lupin, which is set for June 11.
According to Netflix in this season , “Assane’s quest for revenge against Hubert Pelligrini has torn his family to pieces. With his back to the wall, he now has to think of a new plan, even if it means putting himself in danger”.
This announcement comes alongside a brand new trailer, in which we can see Omar Sy, who plays the role of Assane Diop, fighting and using his disguise skills, inspired by the famous illusionist gentlemen Arsène Lupin to find his son, who was kidnapped in the last episode of season 1.
This kidnapping will form the main plot of the modern adaptation of French writer Maurice Leblanc‘s novels. But the story will also revolve around Assane’s complicated relationship with the mother of his child, Claire, played by Ludivine Saigner, in the background.
This second season seems to be as brilliant as the first one, which had already convinced about 70 million spectators across several countries, Omar Sy stated he was surprised and pleased by this great success “It’s great to see in Brazil or in France they loved Lupin for the same reason. There’s something universal and that’s something I always try to achieve”.
We highly recommend you to stay tuned for the release of this second season, we can’t wait to discover Assane’s new adventures.
