Multi-GRAMMY award-winning rap star Megan Thee Stallion has united with global pop superstar and fellow GRAMMY award winner Dua Lipa, to release “Sweetest Pie”, which is vying to become 2022’s certified ‘Hot Girl’ anthem and is also the first single from Megan’s forthcoming album.
This collaboration reuniting two of music’s most powerful women, will have even more impact as it is released during Women’s History Month.
It also marks the first single of 2022 from both singers. “Sweetest Pie” is a super delicious and sexy track that celebrates women. The single will be released with a video, directed by Dave Meyers and produced by Freenjoy.
Meanwhile, Megan is a guest on the latest episode of Dua Lipa’s podcast: At Your Service.
In it, Dua and Megan discuss the genesis of their new track, their activism, how Megan uses her platform to promote the protection of black women, the need for female artists to support each other, and the importance of fighting and dismantling the misogyny that still plagues hip-hop and the music industry – all while being the ultimate Hot Girl.
After a year full of awards in 2021, Megan is again nominated for two GRAMMY Awards this year, including “Thot Sh*t” for Best Rap Performance. The singer will also join Dua Lipa on her ‘Future Nostalgia’ tour on three specific dates, and is set to embark on her own tour this summer.
Dua Lipa is currently on the U.S. leg of her critically acclaimed ‘Future Nostalgia’ world tour. The three-time GRAMMY Award winner arrived in 2022 with the Billboard Top Hot 100 Song of the Year for her single “Levitating”, and a GRAMMY Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for Future Nostalgia.
The two singers will be thus be performing this duet on the ‘Future Nostalgia’ world tour next week in Denver, Tylsa and Phoenix.
