Swedish artist Tove Styrke has released a new single titled “Hardcore”.
Tove Styrke constantly amazes with her forward-thinking musical style on the new track “Hardcore”, which she has released after a successful US tour with MARINA. She also revealed that her fourth album, HARD, will be released on June.
Tove sings in her most powerful voice yet on “Hardcore”, which was produced and co-written by Max Martin’s teenage protégé Elvira Anderfjärd (Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran) and Jakob Jerlström (Tove Lo, Lorde).
About the track, Tove Stryke says, “A favorite track of mine is Hardcore. The song is about wishing for someone hardcore. In gaming, the term means you die if you fall, but you’re all in. Also, I wanted the track to sound like a drunken experience, like being lost in someone. We did that by shifting the tempo before each chorus. I am totally blown away by this production“.
Since her first album Kiddo was released in 2015, with the singles “Borderline”, “Ego”, and “Number One”, Tove Styrke has been on a meteoric rise. She has also been nominated for a Grammy Award and was awarded Sweden’s national radio P3 Guld ‘Pop Artist of the Year’.
Over the past few years, Tove has headlined multiple tours, made several appearances at SXSW, and appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers in addition to receiving support from fellow artists including Sam Smith, Tove Lo, and Shawn Mendes.
Cheat Codes & Travis Baker (All Things $ Can Do), ALMA (Good Vibes), NOTD (Been There Done That), Clean Bandit (Last Goodbye), and Lost Kings (Stuck) are other notable collaborations from her.
