Sylvester Stallone is set to star in his first TV series, playing a Mafia Mob boss for an exciting upcoming thriller based on a book by The Godfather author Mario Puzo. The Creed Actor is said to be in final talks for the lead role as mafia kingpin in Antoine Fuqua’s directed adaptation of the novel Omerta.
The 2000 novel was released posthumously following the authors death, and is the third of three books that Puzo wrote about the American Mafia. No network is said to be attached to the project, so a release date is pretty far away, but producers are hopeful to attract a partner before shooting begins on the pilot this summer.
