Following from her successful singles “Fables” and “1/9” which were released late last year and her debut track “I Am A Loner” which hit The Hype Machine chart Top #5, Tarantina keeps putting in the shift with the release of her latest new single “Rainbow“.
Dark and foreboding with a trip hop vibe, “Rainbow” was produced by Raf Riley – who’s worked with Skepta, Stormzy, Diplo and more – and Tarantina and features quite literally everything but the kitchen sink.
Speaking about the new track, Tarantina explains: “Raf Riley and I produced ‘Rainbow‘ in my flat in Camden. We played things like pots, pans, broken jewellery and a wind chime as instruments. Once we’d recorded these sounds, we played them out through the speakers of my old TV and then recorded that. The moment the track really came to life though was when we added the synth bass at the studio.”
All four of Tarantina’s previous tracks will feature on the self-taught singer and multi-instrumentalist forthcoming EP Teething which will be released on April 27.
