Taylor Swift and Kanye West have had a rocky relationship in the past, with him storming the stage whilst she was receiving an award to say the real winner should have been Beyoncé.
But it appears they have reached new levels of drama with the latest spat between the pop singer and Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian West.
In a recent tiff surrounding Swift’s disapproval of lyrics containing her name in Kanye’s latest track, “Famous”, Kim leaked recorded footage of a telephone call between Taylor and Kanye discussing the lyrics of the song, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex“. Swift appears to have no qualms with the line, which is a different picture to the one that she has painted in the media.
The conversation, according to allegations by Swift, was secretly recorded, which is a felony in the state of California if the other individual is unaware and has not consented. This means Swift has the right to sue and is indeed threatening to do so.
The letter contains strict instructions as to what is to be done with the recording, “Demand is hereby made that you immediately destroy all such recordings, provide us of assurance that this has been done, and also assurance that these recordings have not been previously disseminated“.
Kanye can safely put to bed those predictive lyrics after this incident.
