American singer Taylor Swift will star in David O. Russell‘s new film, the title of which is still unknown, alongside Margot Robbie, Christian Bale and John David Washington.
David O. Russell, director of Happiness Therapy, American Bluff, and Oscar winner for Fighter, is doing a great job in the casting as we can see, and that’s not all, as Robert De Niro should also appear alongside Zoe Saldana, Anya Taylor-Joy, Rami Malek, Timothy Olyphant, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon or Chris Rock.
This new film will mark Taylor Swift’s return to the big screen; she has not appeared in film since Cats in 2019, where she played the role of Bombalurina.
The singer also starred alongside Julia Roberts in Valentine’s Day and in The Giver with Meryl Streep. She was also the focus of the Netflix documentary Miss Americana, which chronicles her journey as an international star.
David O. Russell’s first project since 2015’s Joy, which starred actress Jennifer Lawrence, is being produced in collaboration with Matthew Budman. The plot is still being kept under wraps despite the feature film’s production completion, which took place in the city of Los Angeles. A release date has also not been revealed.
