‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Prequel In The Works | Film News
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise has been terrifying its audience for a very long time, and another movie is now on the way to scare us all again. The franchise is now set to get a prequel, which will be written by Seth M. Sherwood, and will be entitled Leatherface, after the movies’ terrifying killer. The movie will focus around the origin story of the eponymous character, delving deep into his childhood. Sherwood describes the movie as “an origin story that follows Leatherface’s early years in the 1970s”. The problem with origin stories is that they tend to make one sympathise with the serial killer in question once we know about the horrors of their twisted childhoods, but it might nevertheless be interesting to find out what exactly contributed to Leatherface’s ruthless demeanour. Will the prequel be a hit? Stay tuned to find out, horror fans.
