I’m snatched! After many posters and countdowns, English rock band The 1975 have unveiled the “Give Yourself A Try” music video. This is the first look into their new upcoming album titled A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships as part of the “Music For Cars” era.
“Give Yourself a Try” is an indie rock track and it’s about maturity, the passing of years, adolescent suicide, drug use and prevention. A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships is the first of two albums to be released as part of Music for Cars, which shares its name with their eponymous EP back in 2013, and it is scheduled to be released in October 2018. The second album, Notes on a Conditional Form, is scheduled to be released in May 2019.
The music video was directed by Diane Martel, who also directed the “Love Me” music video. It starts with a B&N photogram and Healy talking with a bear psychologist. The band appears in a mirror rooms performing the song, interjected with many flashings images of Healy growing a flower, dancing, playing the guitar and posing.
