It was time for hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar to take to the stage for his debut headline at Coachella last night. Joining him on the main stage was Future, Travis Scott and Schoolboy Q, Lamar fans getting way more than they bargained for, as he performed tracks from his brand new album “Damn”.
The multi-talented producer and artist Pharrell Williams joined musical legend Hans Zimmer for “Freedom” in the Outdoor Theatre. The film composer wowed the audience with something a little different to the usual Coachella line-up, as the audience recognised tunes from across the years including tracks from Pirates of the Caribbean and Inception.
Bowie favorite Lorde performed on the main stage last night showcasing her brand new music and unveiling a most anticipated return to the spotlight. The young star threw it back to her career launching with “Tennis Court” and fast forwarding it to now with “Green Light” and revealing new material with “Homemade Dynamite”.
Friday, April 22, sees in the second weekend of Coachella. Round Two is on the horizon!
