The Great Escape Festival 2014 – Thursday, May 08 – Saturday, May 10 | Events
I don’t know about you but I am psyched to see and feel that Summer is just about upon us, and if you are anything like me, then this means you have already booked or are planning your festival season! Well why not kick things off with Europe’s leading festival for new music – Brighton’s The Great Escape. This amazing festival will run from May 8 to May 10 this year and is jam packed full of the greatest emerging artists.
The Great Escape is host to 400 up and coming bands who will play in 35 different Brighton venues that are all accessible with one wristband. It’s the first place to discover your new favourite band and see them in an intimate setting before they go on to headline major festivals across the country. The Great Escape is also attended by the music industry executives who are on the search for the next big thing. The festival also runs a convention alongside the gigs that feature insightful panels, topical debates, keynote speeches and networking opportunities in abundance.
There is also the ‘Alternative Escape’ which includes the Brighton Dome shows with headline acts this year including Example, Shift K3Y, Show N Prove, Wild Beasts, These New Puritans, Kelis and Ella Eyre. Not only will you get to see these sensational artists but the ‘Alternative Escape’ also includes secret gigs, club nights and spontaneous collaborations that will all add to the festivities and make this weekend in Brighton one you will not want to miss! Just a little warning for those of you that want to be a part of this, for guaranteed access to the Brighton Dome shows, make sure to top up your festival wristband for £7 per show or purchase separate gig tickets – you will not be asked to top up for any further gigs.
Brighton’s waiting for you!!!
