Celebrating the songwriters and composers of this generation across TV, Music and Film, The 62nd Ivor Novello awards will take place at the Grosvenor Hotel on Park Lane on May 18th 2017.
Coldplay are up for two (“Adventure of a Lifetime” and “Hymn For The Weekend”) in the ‘PRS for the Most Performed Work’ category, going against Adele Adkins and Tobias Jesso Jr for “When We Were Young”. More of the awards announced on the night will include; International Achievement, Lifetime Achievement, Songwriter of the Year and for the second time ever The Ivors Jazz Award will be presented.
The Album award nominees include Laura Mvula for her album The Dreaming Room, and Michael Kiwanuka, Brian Burton and Dean ‘Inflo’ Josiah Cover for Love & Hate. The third nominee includes Nick Cave and band member and writing partner Warren Ellis, for Nick Cave and the Bad Seed’s 2016 album Skeleton Tree.
