New wave post punk band, The Libertines have been confirmed to headline T in the Park this summer. The Scottish festival is held at Strathallan Castle, and the festival runs from the 10th to the 12th of July, with tickets for the festival due to be released on February 27 at 9am. It has recently been reported that the band’s lead song writer, and more talented lyricist Pete Doherty has recovered from his drug addiction; perhaps that means a new wave of quality music is in the pipeline, and a sharper performance. But whatever the band’s state, it should be a joyous occasion at T in the Park this year, with one of the most loved indie bands of the noughties.
