We’ve waited six long years for the next Pirates of The Caribbean installment, and the time has finally come.
Although we’ve seen a teaser recently, Super Bowl 2017 played the full trailer of the new movie last night.
For some absurd reason, the film studio has decided to change the previous UK title ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales‘, which let’s face it, is just spooky enough, to a rather less swashbuckling ‘Salazar’s Revenge.’
Almost immediately this could risk alienating some fans. We have yet to meet Salazar, so it’s clear we have to invest a new interest in this next adventure.
Javier Bardem stars as the titular character and looks to be a fairly impressive rival for the ghostly baddies we’ve see before. We can look forward to a scary new ship and some supernatural superpowers from the new seaman as well as returning favorite Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) and new adventurers, Brenton Thwaites and Kaya Scodelario.
Of course no Pirates would be complete without our lovable drunken scallywag Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), who returns to find himself in just as much trouble as usual. A pleasant surprise is that glimpse of original star Orlando Bloom, presumably still living out his life with barnacles attached to his face.
Whatever the story, it’s sure to be worth a watch.
Pirates Of The Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge will hit cinemas on May 26.
