The European Festival Awards were held on January 13 and, amongst the festival-centric awards, ones like Newcomer Of The Year, Best Headliner, and Best Line-Up were also up for grabs. The acts up for Best Headliner were: Alt-J, Chemical Brothers, Florence & the Machine, Foo Fighters, Kendrick Lamar, Kylie Minogue, Marteria, Muse, Robbie Williams, and The Prodigy (full list of awards and nominees here).

Liam Howlett announced on Twitter that The Prodigy had won Best Headliner. Having seen the band headline twice, I can say that the award is definitely well-deserved. Their 2015 hit “The Day Is My Enemy” was also nominated for Festival Anthem Of The Year.
