The Wave Pictures, who have a history of collaboration, have again joined forces with another innovative talent and their self-confessed hero; the prolific Billy Childish for their new album Great Big Flamingo Burning Moon. Childish co-wrote and produced the 13-track album released on Moshi Moshi Records this Monday. The Wave Pictures’ 14th studio album was recorded using only Childish’s equipment and he even designed the album cover. With a music career spanning over four decades, not to mention his writing, and painting, Billy Childish’s prowess is undeniable and he has brought out a new side of The Wave Pictures adding a Garage Rock element to their catchy brand of British rock.
