LA-based alt R&B duo THEY. have shared their striking new song “Broken” featuring Jessie Reyez, ahead of their upcoming Fireside EP out November 9.
Reyez kicks off the song beautifully, singing over jazzy electric guitar before she flows on into the song’s suave chorus. “It’s always the same – it’s like I’m looking for someone to save me, Someone to blame, so I can cry and ask you, ‘Why’d you break me?’” Drew Love, one half of THEY. handles the second verse, tapping into the same themes of heartbreak and relationship trauma before duet of a chorus comes back and sees the song to its conclusion.
Dante and Drew of THEY. quickly went from being total strangers to making beats for others like Jeremih, Kelly Clarkson, will.i.am + others, and now clocking in millions of plays online and selling out shows worldwide with their signature R&B/indie rock blend.
