2017 was an incredible year for Timothée Chalamet. His films Lady Bird and Call Me By Your Name were hits in every case and he even got nominated for an Oscar! To top it he is only 22 years old. With a career rocketing upwards like this, you may wonder how long can this hold up? But his new film Hot Summer Nights seems incredibly good – even if it isn’t anything like Call Me By Your Name.
Chalamet plays Daniel, a teen who got sent to Cape Cop for summer to live with his aunt. At first, he seems too shy but after an encounter with the local rebel and drug dealer, this quickly seems to chance. Well, he steps into the business of drug dealing. Also, he begins to fall in love with the drug dealers sister. Drama incoming, you could say.
Hot Summer Nights also stars Alex Roe, Maika Monroe, along with William Fichtner, Thomas Jane, Emory Cohen and Maia Mitchell. It will hit the theaters on July 27.
