Straight out of her forthcoming sophomore album Joyride, Tinashe gives us something new to look forward to, as we anticipate the release of her album and she titles this “Party Favors” which features Atlanta rapper Young Thug.
“Party Favors” is a slow but uptempo track, with bleepy synths, which provide a low-key hook, flutter above earthquakes of sub punctuated by clacking snare hits and littered with flashing chains of delicate hi-hats. Young Thug coming in towards the end of the song bringing a new approach to the song with his auto-tuned verse.
We won’t have to wait too long as we take respite with the Boi-1da-production produced “Party Favors”, while we anticipate her album. Tinashe early announced that her album Joyride would be released towards the end of the year, November to precise, featuring contributions from Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Hit-Boy, Travi$ Scott, Nic Nac, and Dev Hynes.
“A big part of it was the focus going into it, which was that we weren’t going to make a lot of songs, and it wasn’t going to be so experimental“, she told Rolling Stone about the new album. “We definitely knew what we wanted going in, and we were a lot more efficient in achieving it.
