Following a string of critically acclaimed releases including “Be My Lover” and “Not The One“, burgeoning talent Tobi Sunmola releases the enthralling visuals for new single “Amazing Grace“.
While it starts off pretty unassuming with our protagonist Tobi getting ready to go to a house party and get cosy with the woman of his eye, it gets rather dystopian. Transported to another realm, Tobi looks as if he is lost, both physically and emotionally.
Speaking about the track Tobi says: “I made the track from a place of feeling like I had nothing left to lose. I had this picture in my head of a man falling infinitely and not knowing whether he would survive or not but he smiles as he falls. Whether he believes it or not there’s still that 1% chance that he could survive the crash and he’s aware but prepared for either outcome.”
Named as MOBO’s ‘One to Watch’ and championed by BBC Radio 1 DJ’s including Mistajam and Huw Stephens, Tobi Sunmola continues to incite, intrigue and wonder with his unique brand of music. Tobi’s creativity is evident throughout his direction and vision, purposefully leading you to question his concepts, but never his talent.
