Tom Hanks has returned to the press corps support life with his third gesture in 13 years!
The Oscar-winning actor gifted the press corps an espresso machine this morning with a note attached reading, “To the White House Press Corps. Keep up the good fight for Truth, Justice, and the American Way. Especially the Truth part”.
The support comes in light of President Trump recently declaring all major media organizations and banning news outlets from a White House press conference.
Hanks has never made secret his dislike of Trump’s administration, but remains hopeful. “We do have the greatest country in the world. We may move at a slow pace, but we do have the greatest country in the world, because we are always moving toward a more perfect Union,” he shared with Esquire last year, shortly after the elections wrapped up.
Since receiving the espresso machine, the journalists at the White House have taken to Twitter to thank the actor.
As mentioned earlier, Hanks had previously sent the White House press corps an espresso machine in 2004 and again in 2010.
