Actor Tom Holland has recently been speaking about his preparation for playing the Marvel Superhero, Spider-Man. Holland says he has always been a fan of Spider-man, choosing the wall-climber’s classic blue and red costume for fancy dress parties. “I had this awesome morph suit where you can put your phone on your chest and spiders would crawl across the costume, it was awesome”, he said.
Holland has also spoken about filming the Jon Watts-directed first solo Spider-Man movie which kicks off sometime next year in Atlanta. He added: “We’re shooting in Atlanta for most of it, because they have studios there and I think it’s cheaper to build a New York set than it is to shoot here, because it’s going to be very expensive. We probably will end up here (in New York) for one week or two“.
The first of the new Spider-Man films opens on July 28, 2017, but we’ll get to see Holland in the role when Captain America: Civil War opens on May 6, next year.
