Tony Kaye has cast a robot as a lead actor in his next film 2nd Born that will come out later this year.
The director has revealed in recent interviews that he has chosen a robot to be his lead actor because he is excited to try new technologies. This maybe be the first time ever that a robot replaces a human begin for acting. 2nd Born, the movie that will include this freshness, is the sequel of the comedy 1st Born. The movie is about a young couple who has complications in having a child.
The robot will be trained to learn various techniques and a variety of acting methods and probably will hopefully lead him to receive an award by the Screen Actor Guild Awards.
Tony Kaye is a well-known director in the movie industry for the 1998 crime film American History X and also in the music industry for directing some of Johnny Cash and Red Hot Chili Peppers‘s music videos. So, we must wait to see if the director’s talent for making movies and other projects will be as great in teaching a robot to act.
