Swedish summer has never been this hot: Tove Lo is back with a brand new stomper. The singer, who reached the American top 5 with her single, “Habits (Stay High)”, off her debut Queen Of The Clouds, finally unveiled the lead single from her yet-untitled second studio album, due out later this year.
As anticipated by Lorde in a not-so-mysterious tweet yesterday:

“Cool Girl” is an absolute smash! Featuring mischievous lyrics against ‘traditional relationships’ (“let’s not put a label on it / let’s keep it fun”) and an hypnotic acid synth line that gives to the track a further twist, Tove Lo has been able to develop her signature sound without falling into the trap of an easy manufactured hit.
Particularly intense are the last 20 seconds, in which Nilsson’s voice is distorted in a way similar to some tracks of Madonna‘s Music: and after such a comparison, are we ready for another hit from Tove?
