Trailer For ‘Blood Father’ Released, Starring Mel Gibson | Film News

Blood Father

Recently, our only doses of good, old-fashioned Mel Gibson brutality has come in his cameos in The Expendables 3 and Machete Kills, but it seems he’s harking back to his Mad Max days in the trailer for his new thriller, Blood Father.

Blood Father finds Gibson playing a grizzled, old tattoo artist working out of his trailer in the desert. When his estranged daughter (Erin Moriarty) calls, he finds himself caught in a cat-and-mouse chase with a gang of desert criminals who seem keen to get their hands on his daughter.

The film is directed by Jean-François Richet, the acclaimed director of Mesrine. It is based off a novel by Peter Craig, who also wrote The Town, and the screenplay has been written by Staight Outta Compton‘s Andrea Berloff.

Blood Father will arrive in U.K. cinemas August 25 and you can watch the new trailer below.
